In honour of Akitu-Assyrian New Year 6773, the Assyrian Aid Society of Canada raised $5,000 (CAD) to provide safe drinking water supplies to students enrolled in Assyrian schools in our indigenous homeland. These schools teach a full curriculum in the Assyrian language and their efforts at providing our community education need to be preserved.

  

The project consisted of supplying 14 water filtration systems and 3 water coolers to 14 Assyrian Aid Society schools to benefit approximately 900 students who are learning a full curriculum in the Assyrian language.

Thanks to everyone's support we are able to preserve the health of our students and ensure that they are given the proper support needed to focus on their education.
